Facebook is of the most preferred and popular social networking sites available today. It’s a great place to connect, reconnect and share the events and happenings in your life. In this whole process of sharing and connecting with people online, we end up giving out a lot of personal information like our contact information, photos, videos etc. That is the whole purpose of it right? But in all this we are forgetting a very important matter of our security and privacy……
My own experience has been a sad one, when I lost my cell phone. I had access to my facebook via the phone and whoever took my phone also misused my facebook account. Ultimately I was left with no choice but to register a new account and stop using that one. That was the time that I actually wanted a permanent solution to this issue where no one could have hacked into my account or misused it in any way.
I have been using facebook for many years and I have encountered many people with fake ids. Facebook has given us the option to block or report abuse the user but the question comes again “ Does it respond quickly ?” It is no use of crying over a split milk folks !!
Sorry to say but irrespective of the various security measures provided by Facebook like being able to report a user or block a person, we still encounter a lot of people with fake ids. There are loopholes that can’t be ignored. For instance, with every application that we use, we grant access to our personal information, our friend list etc. as this helps them to popularize their apps. But the question still remains that what about our safety? Who can guarantee that this personal information can’t be misused?
When encountered with these issues, I and my friend thought of developing a permanent solution to this issue. Hence, we have come up with this application which protects your privacy yet allows you to share your information. . With this application, No one can misuse your photos or make a fake id with your profile picture. Moreover, If anyone tries to login to your profile or hack it, our application will give you a warning and prevent the hacking from occurring
